even cowboys like a little rock & roll

Wednesday, April 10th, 2013

(feat. Charlie Daniels)

Well now cowboys love the ladies
They like beans and sourdough
Good horses and hot black coffee
And campfires burnin’ low
You know we love that cowboy music
But I’ll bet you didn’t know
That even cowboys like just a little
Rock & roll

Even cowboys like a little bit of rock & roll
Yeah we all got some boogie woogie in our soul
There’s a little bit of Buddy Holly
In every cowboy that I know
And even cowboys like a little bit of rock & roll

Now when your camped out on the prairie
And that ole moon is shinin’ bright
You can hear those cattle bawlin’ soft & low, soft & low
There’s nothin’ like a cowboys song to make it all feel just right
But even cowboys like a little bit rock & roll

Even cowboys like a little bit of rock & roll
Yeah we all got some boogie woogie in our soul
There’s a little bit of Chuck Berry
In every cowboy that I know
And even cowboys like a little bit of rock & roll

Step on it!

Now those old buckaroos are set in their ways
And they’ll even tell you so
Say they don’t like nothin’ but them old time cowboy songs
Yeah but I’ve seen the green grass growin’
Underneath that winter snow
I’ll bet them old cowboys even like a little rock & roll

Even cowboys like a little bit of rock & roll
Yeah we all got some boogie woogie in our soul
There’s a little bit of Charlie Daniels (you tell ’em Chris!)
In every cowboy that I know
And even cowboys like a little bit of rock & roll

Yeah there’s a little long hair
In every single cowboy that I know
And even cowboys like a little bit of rock & roll

the chimney song

Friday, December 21st, 2012

There’s something stuck up in the chimney
And I don’t know what it is
But it’s been there all night long.
Well, I waited up for Santa all Christmas night
But he never came and it don’t seem right
That there’s something in the chimney
And it doesn’t make a sound,
But I wish you merry Christmas.

There’s something stuck up in the chimney
And I don’t know what it is,
But it’s been there all week long.
Well, the dog keeps barking up the chimney flue
And we don’t know what we’re gonna do.
Cos there’s something in the chimney
And it doesn’t move around
And it’s been a week since Christmas.

There’s something stuck up in the chimney
And I don’t know what it is
But it’s been there all month long.
Well, it’s jammed up tight above the fireplace
Now the house smells funny, such a big disgrace.
That there’s something in the chimney
And it doesn’t talk at all
And it’s been there since last Christmas.

There’s something stuck up in the chimney
And I don’t know what it is
But it’s been there all year long.
I’ll be waiting up for Santa like I did last year
But my brother says, he’s already here…

And he’s stuck up in the chimney
And he doesn’t say a word
And he’ll be there every Christmas.
And we’ll have him every Christmas.

paranoid

Monday, November 19th, 2012

I’m not crazy, I know what I see,
I hear them staring at me.
You can’t make me feel, I’m out of my mind.
I can hear them whisper.

Paranoid, see it through my eyes.
I’m paranoid, through the twisted lies.
Insanity, it’s a real fine line.
And I want you to know
It’s schizophrenic, psychoanalytical nightmares.
But who’s to say they’re not out there?

It rained paper; I tore every piece apart
So they can’t read me.
I stopped speaking so my words can’t be misused,
They won’t come back to haunt me.

Paranoid, see it through my eyes.
I’m paranoid, through the twisted lies.
Insanity, it’s a real fine line.
And I want you to know,
It’s schizophrenic, psychoanalytical nightmares.
But who’s to say they’re not out there?

Walls have ears, and pictures follow me.
Can’t you see they’re trying to swallow me?

Paranoid, see it through my eyes.
I’m paranoid, through the twisted lies.
Insanity, it’s a real fine line.
And I want you to know,
It’s schizophrenic, psychoanalytical nightmares.
But who’s to say they’re not out there?

Paranoid, see it through my eyes.
I’m paranoid, through the twisted lies.
Insanity, it’s a real fine line.
And I want you to know,
It’s schizophrenic, psychoanalytical nightmares.
But who’s to say they’re not out there?
