hard candy christmas

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

Hey, maybe I’ll dye my hair
Maybe I’ll move somewhere
Maybe I’ll get a car
Maybe I’ll drive so far
They’ll all lose track
Me, I’ll bounce right back

Maybe I’ll sleep real late
Maybe I’ll lose some weight
Maybe I’ll clear my junk
Maybe I’ll just get drunk on apple wine
Me, I’ll be just

Fine and Dandy
Lord it’s like a hard candy Christmas
I’m barely getting through tomorrow
But still I won’t let
Sorrow bring me way down

I’ll be fine and dandy
Lord it’s like a hard candy Christmas
I’m barely getting through tomorrow
But still I won’t let
Sorrow get me way down

Hey, maybe I’ll learn to sew
Maybe I’ll just lie low
Maybe I’ll hit the bars
Maybe I’ll count the stars until dawn
Me, I will go on

Maybe I’ll settle down
Maybe I’ll just leave town
Maybe I’ll have some fun
Maybe I’ll meet someone
And make him mine
Me, I’ll be just

Fine and dandy
Lord it’s like a hard candy Christmas
I’m barely getting through tomorrow
But still I won’t let
Sorrow bring me way down

I’ll be fine and dandy
Lord it’s like a hard candy Christmas
I’m barely getting through tomorrow
But still I won’t let
Sorrow bring me way down

I’ll be fine and dandy
Lord it’s like a hard candy Christmas
I’m barely getting through tomorrow
But still I won’t let
Sorrow bring me way down

I’ll be fine

my monkey

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

My monkey gets busy sometimes
My monkey’s got a lot of stuff he’s gotta think about
My monkey gets tired sometimes
My monkey wishes he was something you could live without

Cause every monkey needs alone time
To eat bananas in the sunshine
It’s feast or famine it’s a fine line
It doesn’t mean my monkey doesn’t love you

[My monkey butler Brian Dennehy screwed up again and he’s sorry]
[My monkey he loves you My monkey loves you very much]
[My monkey says My monkey says]
[My monkey says he’s sorry he’s a monkey but he’s got to be a monkey and there’s nothing he can do]

My monkey gets frazzled sometimes
My monkey has an ulcer and a stressful time at work
My monkey gets bitter sometimes
My monkey’s not the only one who’s acting like a jerk

And while he doesn’t like to name names
And he’s not trying to assign blame
It’s hard to focus on his own game
It doesn’t mean my monkey doesn’t love you

[My monkey butler Brian Dennehy screwed up again and he’s sorry]
[My monkey he loves you My monkey loves you very much]
[My monkey says My monkey says]
[My monkey says he’s sorry he’s a monkey but he’s got to be a monkey and there’s nothing he can do]

My monkey gets angry sometimes
My monkey says a lot of things he doesn’t really mean
My monkey gets lucky sometimes
My monkey thinks that you’re the bestest girl he’s ever seen

He says he’ll stay with you for always
It doesn’t matter what the job pays
Cause everybody has their bad days
It doesn’t mean my monkey doesn’t love you

[My monkey butler Brian Dennehy screwed up again and he’s sorry]
[My monkey he loves you My monkey loves you very much]
[My monkey says My monkey says]
[My monkey says he’s sorry he’s a monkey but he’s got to be a monkey and there’s nothing he can do]

It doesn’t mean my monkey doesn’t love you

melody

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

No matter what has ever come to me,
I got my own brand of company
I got “da da da” inside my head
And I play songs back to back until I go to bed

Wake up by myself inside an empty room
There’s no body next to mine to ‘oooh-ooh-ooh’
But my skin is warm and my heart is full
It’s the “do do do-do do-do do”

Walking waking on a crowded street
With my headphones loud
So my hips can swing,
So my head can nod,
To the rock and roll,
To the boom boom beat

And I find that I’m never alone
And I find that my heart is my home
And the music within makes me whole
A world that I built on my own

And I know that I’m never alone
And I know that my heart is my home
Every missing piece of me
I can find in a melody
I can find in a melody

No matter what has ever come to me
I got my own kind of company
I got “ba ba ba” inside my head
And I sing songs back to back until I go to bed

There’s a river in my mind that’s never still
Swirling, soothing all the time gives me a thrill
Swimming in the notes that go
“Oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh”

Wandering, waking in an empty wood
It is quiet here, I am powerful
I look down below, serenade the world
From inside my soul

And I find that I’m never alone
And I find that my heart is my home
And the music within makes me whole
A world that I built on my own

And I know that I’m never alone
And I know that my heart is my home
Every missing piece of me
I can find in a melody
I can find in a melody

(Sha-doop sha-doop)
When the walls begin to creep in
(Aaaah sha-bop sha-bop)
And the sky is fallin down
(Aaaah sha-doop sha-doop)
When I’m swallowed up in feelings
(Aaaah sha-bop sha-bop)
I get lost inside the sound

And I find that I’m never alone
And I find that my heart is my home
And the music within makes me whole
A world that I built on my own

And I know that I’m never alone
And I know that my heart is my home
Every missing piece of me
I can find in a melody

And I find that I’m never alone
And I find that my heart is my home
And the music within makes me whole
A world that I built on my own

And I know that I’m never alone
And I know that my heart is my home
Every missing piece of me
I can find in a melody
I can find in a melody
